Swinging, Swinging, Swinging

This past Sunday, after storming all morning, the sun finally came out and it turned into a beautiful day.  So when Carys woke up from her morning nap, we loaded up and headed to the park. The first thing we hit were the swings.  She loves swinging!

After the swings, we stood next to the train for awhile...

and then she noticed the wood chips and had to stop and check them out.

After playing at the park, we went for a walk downtown and stopped to have lunch.  Carys was really good at lunch, but she wasn't interested in the jarred food we brought for her and refused to eat it.  Scott and I both ordered gyros and we tried giving her little bites of the lamb, feta and pita...she loved it!  I'm afraid she's going to be snubbing her baby food anytime we're eating in front of her.  She only wants what's on our plate!  She also started a new thing while we there...

Talking up a storm with her hands in the air.

Watching TV with her hands in the air.

Smiling at Dad with her hands in the air.

I don't know what started it, but she was cracking us up keeping her hands up.  Then of course she realized we were laughing at her and kept doing it.  Before you become a parent, it seems crazy to think that little things like this will entertain you, but it seems like every day she is doing something new to make us laugh.  After lunch, we hit Costco, came home for a nap, went grocery shopping, and then crashed at home.  Sunday's are never long enough!
